I am delighted to invite you to the first meeting of the newly formed Midlands Regional group of the Major Churches Network. We are gathering at St. Martin in the Bullring, Birmingham, which lies in the heart of the city and is easily accessible by public transport.
MCN events are a great opportunity to bring together not only clergy but lay leaders too, so please bring along your administrator, operations director, head of finance – whichever colleague you think would benefit from a gathering such as this.
Our day will begin with coffee (served from 11am) and continues with a welcome from our host Jeremy Allcock, Rector of St. Martin’s, followed by introductions. We will be joined by Adrian Daffern, Senior Cathedral & Major Churches Officer for the Church of England, who will share with us some insights from his role as well as news and updates from the Greater Churches Network. After lunch there will be an introduction to St. Martin’s from the team, and an opportunity for us to share with each other some of the joys and challenges that running a Major Church presents! The day will finish with a tour of St. Martin’s.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided throughout the day, but please bring your own lunch. There are plenty of places very close to St. Martin’s where sandwiches etc can be purchased.
